Andean Tapir Fund has an ongoing project in northern Peru to set up the Cerro Negro Nature Sanctuary and has been successful in staving off mining destruction of this core area of one of the world's greatest biodiversity hotspots for over 20 years. This has involved working with highland Andean communities and Peruvian conservationists. He has a Go Fund Me for this at https://www.gofundme.com/f/saving-andean-tapirs-habitat-in-northernn-peru
Wild Horse and Burro Fund also has an important Go Fund Me

and burro program. This is at https://www.gofundme.com/mstngreservedesign
